My Review: I find I have to agree with much of what is written here. I too loved the old, grapefruit-scented Ensure conditioner and I'm not nearly as happy with the new formula. Perhaps the mistake will be rectified if enough people voice their displeasure.

My Review: No wonder I can't find the old Nexxus Color Ensure Conditioner and Detangler. I have naturally very curly hair and this was one of the only products that I have been able to find that would leave my hair tangle free but not weigh it down. I loved the natural grapefruit scent and how it made my hair feel. I too do not understand why companies have to change formulas. There is an old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". I do not like the new formula. It's heavier and ways down my hair and does nothing for the tangles. I guess I'll have to find another product line with a similar product to get the old results that I loved.

My Review: Please bring the former Ensure back. For fine hair there was not a better conditioner out there.
I loved the old scent. I've tried the new Color Ensure and I will not use it again. There's other products about the same as this current formula out there. It's heavier, I dislike the scent and it doesn't leave my hair the same way.

BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL FORMULA

My Review: Please bring back the original formula - peach color with a fresh grapefruit scent. The new formula does not compare in quality or scent. Why do companies insist on fixing what isn't broken? Pantene destroyed their Classic Care shampoo with a new formula, and Nexxus has done the same with this conditioner. Listen to your loyal consumers if you wish to have any left.

My Review: I have been using Nexxus Color Ensure 2 to 4 times a month for years though I have never colored my hair. Not only does it give my hair more moisture and body it makes it more manageable. Besides being great for my hair it keeps my scalp from getting dry or itchy, and also smoothes and moisturizes the skin on my face and hands.

My Review: PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD ENSURE - GRAPEFRUIT. Honestly I have fine thin straight hair and in all my 55 years of caring for my hair the Ensure-grapefruit has been the best conditioner. I am almost depressed that I am down to my last 1/2 bottle and cannot find anymore. I have read the other reviews and looks like I am one of many that feels this way.
Nexxus please take the hint and bring back the old Ensure. I have tried the new one and it is awful - would never buy it again. Will have to find another brand.

old vs new

My Review: I am a master barber who has used and sold many hair products. Nexxus Ensure was my all time favorite. The ORIGINAL Grapefruit version. The fact that a little went a long way, the lightness of it, the fresh smell, the fact that you could rinse or leave in the specific amount you needed, the sleekness and shine it left in your hair. I have not found anything that comes close! I have not tried the newer version but from the reviews it pales in comparison. It is obvious that Nexxus needs to return to the older version of this product!!!! Please do! W/ the original packaging so that it can be recognized as such.

My Review: I'm very unhappy with this product! I really love the Nexus products, however this conditioner for color treated hair is terrible. After spending almost $15.00 for this I now wish you had a money back guarantee. I would return, and I have NEVER had to do that with any other product! After using this conditioner my hair is heavy, greasy and looks oily. I'm sorry I bought.

My Review: I too would like to request that Nexxus return to the older formula. I hate the new version as much as I loved the older one. I could repeat much of what other reviewers have stated, but need to add that the new version was apparently the cause of an allergic reaction I had (resembling pinkeye) that caused me a lot of trouble going to the doctor needlessly, buying eye prescriptions and other products, and a fair amount of misery. I happened to find a travel bottle I'd filled with the old stuff and began to use it (loved the old grapefruit smell) and my eyes cleared up all of a sudden! I stopped using the new product altogether and have had no further eye trouble.

My Review: I have used Nexxus products since the origin from Jheri Redding - over 40 years.
I had used Ensure Acidifying Conditioner and Detangler before you changed the name to Color Ensure.
The key word here I believe is acidifying - that was the origin from Jheri Redding - pH balanced!!
I have one of the OLD OLD bottles with ingredients. It was the best conditioner for my hair and my allergies. I share the comments of your newer clients that the latest version of Color Ensure is more like other conditioners, heavy, greasy and not "clean" feeling. The formula has many of the same ingredients, but different combination.
Please - can some LISTEN to the comments and return to a semblance of the old way (of course, I applaud the deletion of red dye etc.)

My Review: I have been a Nexxus user for 20 years...and am so saddened by the new Ensure formula. It is heavy and leaves my hair feeling "flat." The old formula was lightweight and left my hair shiney. The grapefruit was pefect. Also, it was a GREAT detangler. Why would you change such a great product?

My Review: I too have been using this product for over 15 years. I want the old product back. This new product is horrible. It weighs my hair down and makes it look oily. I am so sorry that I spent so much on a product that I thought was good.
Ensure in the past was lightweight and smelled wonderful...grapefruit. Is it possible to bring back...or do I need to search for new products.

My Review: Bring back the old formula - I have been using the old conditioner for 15 years. It was perfect for fine hair - light grapefruit scent etc. The new formula is just like the others, too thick, too much fragrance and weighs hair down.....Bring back the old formula!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Review: I am very disappointed that Nexxus discontinued the old ensure. I am fragrance sensitive and the old formula had a great light fragrance and was better than any other conditioner on the market. My hair was wonderful with the old product. I will not use the new product, it is all perfumed up and is not as light of a formula. I'm disappointed in this Manufacturer. I wish I had known this was coming so I could stock up on the old product. anyone who has any other competitors product that would be a good replacement--please let me know.

My Review: I so do not like the new Ensure. The old one was the only conditioner that untangled my hair and kept it healthy. I also loved the fragrance. I have a very senstive nose and can't tolerate alot of different fragrances and I absolutely love the grapefruit scent. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring the old Ensure back. I don't understand why you would discontinue it altogether when you could have given your consumers the choice of buying both. I have had to look for another conditioner to replace the old Ensure. I WILL NOT use the new Ensure or anymore of your products until you bring back the old Ensure Conditioner. I don't understand why you would mess with perfection. I'm at a lose for anymore words.

Irritating fragrance makes new formula unusable

My Review: My wife and I have used the previous formula for years, as we both have problems with fragrances and the old formula had a very mild fragrance and was a great conditioner. The new packaging comes with a new formula that immediately congested my throat, head and chest and produced tingling and heat in my face. After fully rinsing the product out multiple times, I feel the effects were gone after about an hour. I am unable to judge the conditioning effects of the new formula as I rinsed it out completely and have had to discard the product.

New Ensure is Ineffective!!

My Review: I need the original Ensure back! The new product is giving me major breakage and shedding! My daughter and I never had tangles with the old product and our hair would be so soft and smooth while drying. This new Ensure is forcing me to experiment with other products. Yuck!

My Review: I never understood why a company would want to change a product that has been so consistently good over so many years. I do not like the new Ensure formula. Why, if you wanted to create a new product , did you not give it a new name and leave the old product alone. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD ENSURE, I loved how it worked on my hair.

My Review: And yes, another disappointed customer.... looking everywhere for the "old" Color Ensure Condtioner and Detangler, and have been unsuccesful. Loved how it worked on my color-treated hair - very light, didn't weigh my hair down and detangled my thick, long hair with ease. Being sensitive to smell, I also loved the light and refreshing grapefruit scent. Please, please bring it back.
